About Us

Our Mission Statement
NJACCRRA promotes a universally accessible, affordable & high quality system of early care & education that is responsive to parental choice.

History
A small group of representatives from child care resource and referral agencies began meeting in the late 1980s to form a single voice for child care issues in New Jersey. Membership grew over the years, and, in 1998 the New Jersey Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies became a private, non-profit organization.

Purpose
The New Jersey Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NJACCRRA) is a non-profit organization composed of child care resource and referral agencies serving the twenty-one counties of New Jersey. We believe that all children deserve access to high quality, affordable child care. We recognize that families need support in understanding and accessing the child care options in their community and we represent those agencies that help them do so.

Membership
Membership is open to private, non-profit or public agencies whose main purpose is the direct provision or coordination of child care resource and referral services (CCR&R) to the general public. Click here for a list of member agencies.

Supporting CCR&Rs
NJACCRRA is dedicated to developing and maintaining accountable child care resource and referral services in New Jersey. Click here for an overview of the history of CCR&R in New Jersey. Child care resource and referral agencies (CCR&Rs) serve as the link between child care providers in a community and the families of the children for whom they care. Every county in New Jersey has a CCR&R agency. These agencies exist to help families choose and access the child care option that is best for them. In addition, CCR&Rs work to ensure that the people who provide child care, whether in a child care center or family child care home, have the support and training they need to be strong caregivers and child care professionals.
